Privacy
The app doesn't collect anything about you. No accounts, no ads, no analytics.
Music
Music listens to what your Mac is playing so the logo can light up on the beat. That stays on your Mac. Nothing is recorded or sent anywhere.
Agents
When you click Connect, Agents adds a few hooks to Claude Code's settings, so Backglow knows when Claude is working, waiting or needs you. Backglow never sees your prompts or code. Disconnect in Settings removes the hooks.
Internet
Backglow goes online for two things only: checking for updates, and checking your license key with Polar if you buy Pro. Polar handles the payment, so their privacy policy covers your purchase.
This website
The site counts visits with Vercel Web Analytics, so I can see which pages get read and where people come from. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't know who you are. It sees the page, the site that linked you here, your country, and your browser and device type. It can't follow you from one day to the next or across other sites.
Nothing else is loaded from other sites. Like any website, the host, Vercel, sees the usual request details, such as your IP address.
Email updates
If you sign up for email updates, your address is stored with MailerLite and only used to tell you what's new in Backglow. Every email has a link to unsubscribe. See MailerLite's privacy policy.
